[RC] Curious about the new Old Dominion Trail? - Mary Howell

Photos of the new Old Dominion trail, plus ride entry forms and other
information, are now online at www.olddominionrides.org

This is the first time in many years the June ride is being held outside
Fort Valley. Old Dominion members are very excited about this new trail,
which is very scenic and has fewer rocks.

All three distances - 25, 50 and 100 - are Saturday, June 14 and the early
entry discount ends May 17.

The new basecamp outside Orkney Springs is just 14 miles west of the
I-81/Mount Jackson exits.  The town is cute as a button, with a post office,
restaurant and stores just a few blocks away.

The 100 mile course includes about 20 miles of repeat trail used at the
start and finish, with a 60 mile clockwise loop that crosses into West
Virginia for part of the day.

As you might imagine, having several different vet checks requires lots of
volunteers, so if you're not able to ride but would like to help out, please
let us know. We hope to see you there!
