I still see them as Death Camps for Horses.
Instead of talking about ways to prevent the transporting over the borders, instead of talking about ways to discourage/penalize overbreeding, instead of talking abut ways tracking down and punishing irresponsible owners and finding ways to deal with the temporary overpopulation, instead of finding funding and dignified ways to individually deal with putting an animal down, people are just going back to the knee-jerk reaction of reinstating Neanderthal slaughterhouse concept, and therefore "enableing" the offenders to continue their overbreeding and have a convenient, look-the-other-way means of disposing of their mistakes/problems.
I understand there are sites dedicated to the horse-slaughter topic, and I suggest this stupid petition be sent there.

I prefer to call them Humane Harvesting Facilities. We need one or more in every state so travel time is minimized. Beccy
