RE: [RC] Questions to Steph - Stefanie PraschFor Germany: No Cash Prizes at national rides allowed. Stuff that is worth more than three times the entry fee has to be clarified with our national ride organization. FEI-rides held in Germany have the same prize giving as Leonard describes. Sometimes you get a part of your expenses repaid through it, but you usually can't make cash out of it. francis Am Fr, 14.03.2008, 08:58, schrieb Leonard.Liesens@xxxxxxxxxxxx: Hi, Cash prices are also common in France and in other european countries. Nothing to compare with UAE of course. It varies from ride to ride. It can be 5k euros for the winner, it can be a trailer (ok, only a 2 horses trailer, not your big things), it can be a Gaston Mercier saddle. Leonard (www.endurance-belgium.com)1. Do you know which other nations/countries that award cash as an award or reward riders with monetary compensation for where they place? Is this common place in other parts of the world besides the UAE?The only other place I've seen cash prizes was in Malaysia. It think it's fairly common across the Middle East though. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
