[RC] securing horses - heidi larsonDoesn't seem to really matter what you use, an accident can happen, it's just a matter of reducing your odds. Friends horse on a hi-tie got his rear leg over the lead rope scratching his head, ugly rope burn on rear leg. Gotta watch those wheel wells, piece of plywood seems to help. Electric fencing works great for alot of people for a long time, then someone else's horse wrecks it. I've high-lined many times with no problem, once though, had a leg go over just like on the hi-tie comment above. I've tied to the trailer, just not enough room for my horse for my liking. I've now got panels, but I know they won't stop my horse if he's freaked out enough and decides he needs to get away. I sleep with one ear open and clothed so that I don't offend neighbors should I have to make a hasty exit from my trailer and rescue my boy or someone else's wayward equine! . o o o o o_ \ \____ o_ \_\ (*)~(*)\_______/ / \ \______/ / \_______/\ /- o-- /_/ \ / / \ / / o o o-- / / \ o o heidi larson ____________________________________________________________________________________ Looking for last minute shopping deals?
