Re: [RC] VVMarchmadness - Flora HillmanI got in 4 miles yesterday trying out my new riding raincoat in the pouring rain -- enough miles to put me (slightly) ahead of Angie. The severe winds and heavy rains are gone this morning -- It is now sunny and clear. Weather promises to be beautiful today. So, my guy and I will head up to the Blue Ridge for some good conditioning work (about 12-13 miles with a 1,200 vertical foot rise in 1 1/2 miles) ....and more trail clearing. No foxhunting for us today - the over-soft ground is too ripe for soft tissue injuries if we have to go at speed behind the hounds. Flora Oh - forgot to add -- heard the spring peepers singing away two nights ago. A sure fire sign that spring is getting closer and closer. Middle 50's all this coming week. Yummy. :-) *************** Well, here in the San Diego area, it was nice and sunny. :) (OK - I won't rub it in). Gabriele talked me into the Old Warriors Water Hunt ride this next weekend, so with a bit of luck, I should be able to gain on a few folks.
