You sometimes spend more time taking clothes off, stuffing them into your pack or pulling them out of your pack and putting them on than skiing. However, I remember one memorable day when I live in CO. It had been cold for three weeks. The high temps had hovered near zero. I had such a bad case of cabin fever that I went up into the mountains anyway. It was -19 in the sun. That day I didn't take a thing off.So it all depends, and your individual mileage will vary.
