RE: [RC] portable corral question - shermanYeah, a friend had an electric corral that we tried putting my horse into, right next to her horse. My horse quickly tested it, yep, there was a charge, then he decided to just charge through it. Odd, because he does stay behind a piece of twine at home and we do have electric fence as well that he'll go nowhere near. Rides are just too exciting I guess. I'll have to stick to tying for now, maybe the heavy panels if I ever get a bigger trailer that they can be mounted on. As long as I'm able to, I kind of enjoy the physical challenge of lifting and carrying heavy items, always carry my feed bags back to the barn, etc. I believe in the motto "use them or lose them" when it comes to my muscles and at 57 I'll lose them quickly if I don't continue to use them. (:>) Kathy My wife bought me a portable corral, well I guess you could say it was for my use for horses, It was about 350, is electric off of 6 d batteries and pretty easy to set up. I have used it twice with much success. It should be noted that some parks do not allow electric corrals.
