Re: [RC] [RC] snacks - trying new ones? - Mel CochranAha!I just switched to safe choice and could not figure out why everyone was snorkeling at it. My little food snob mare went and chased everyone else away from their food to see if they had something that didn't smell funky. Once she saw that everyone had the same, she sighed and ate it. Is there any way to get picky eaters to become more adventurous with their tastes? My food snob is terrible about trying new things. Forget about adding electrolytes or anything else to her feed, even applesauce. She will let it sit and eat hay instead. She also does not like "normal" horse treats, apples, carrots, etc!? The only treat she will eat are the dumor horse cookies from TSC. For the record, she is a paso. My arab gelding will eat whatever you put in front of him. He has eaten some very odd things in his time thanks to my family giving him "treats."
