I have gotten a FLOOD of responses from everybody re: towing with an SUV....I'm still reading them all...but I want to thank everyone right now for their input!I was wondering - when looking at various vehicles, what is more important, wheel base or towing capacity? One vehicle I looked at has a longer wheel base by 6", but has a towing capacity about 750 lbs *less* than another vehicle that has a shorter wheel base. They both have tow capacities within my needs, but the one with the shorter wheelbase is much less expensive and it might be nice to have that extra 750 lb wiggle room...? But, my guess is to go for the longer wheel base, if the towing capacity is enough for my needs...? Is this correct? Thanks all! I'm getting quite the education!
