Re: [RC] Heavyweight Riders getting slammed - Susan

Welp, Jillian, as my Daddy says, "There's always one."  There is always one who knows more than everyone else about any and everything.  Who cares what this WO-man thinks.  By her actions, she's NO lady.  A lady wouldn't say such things!

FWIW, I'm a big girl (5'11" and dropping weight but still over 200).  I've ridden endurance for 22 years now, foxhunt, team pen, sidesaddle demos, parades, show (Dressage, H/J, rail classes, etc.)...ALL on the same horse!  My endurance horse does whatever I want him to do.  I've had all of 4 horses in the past 22 years and am competing 2 of those horses currently.  And, you wanna know something else?

I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE!  There are dozens of HW endurance riders who do all sorts of things with horses.  For that matter, there are HW riders/trainers in all disciplines!  My soul...look at the Western classes.  Reining, Sorting, Cutting, Roping...yeah...those are HW riders.  Some of those folks are HW all by themselves yet they are excellent trainers and riders.

My advise to you (if you are asking) is to let this WO-man make a fool out of herself without any help from you.  You just go out and ride your beautiful horse!  Have fun and ride all you want.  There is always someone who has to say something ugly and there's nothing you can do about it.

BTW, did you train that horse in the picture?  By the look of his relaxed ears and sweet eyes, the way he carried himself, the fact he had all 4 hooves on the ground and the way you were riding, I'd say you've got all the proof right there that you are a good trainer AND rider.  So, rain on that loud mouth!
