Re: [RC] Meeting of importance concerning Kentucky Trails/Please share for those interested - koppjYou know, I failed to realize the significance of public trails until I moved to Kentucky a little over 4 years ago. I lived in a suburb of Cleveland, Ohio and had access to miles and miles of trails through the Cleveland Metro Park System. Beautiful trails, well maintained, plenty of places to park and ride. I thought that when my husband was transferred to Kentucky it would only be better. HA! Imagine my surprise when I realized the county to which we wanted to move had ZERO public trails. This is 25 miles from Louisville in the " Horse Capitol of the World". Kentucky caters to the racing and horse showing BUSINESS. Trails are few and far between. We were lucky and ended up in a private equestrian development with its own private trail system with over 18 miles of trails. Kentucky cannot afford to lose ANY of its public riding trails. Thanks for the heads up " J. Reynolds", I for one will be at that meeting. Roxanne Kopp From: "J.
