[RC] Connie Reeves rode til the sun set - Beth LeggieriConnie Reeves is a legend in Texas. She wrote a book, "I Married a Cowboy," still in print I believe. Along with her husband, they "wrangled" camp horses at a Hill Country summer camp where she taught several generations to ride--privileged girls from urban settings. She was well known for her life wisdom, encapsulated in her reply to many situations, "Saddle Your Own Horse." That about sums up personal responsibility, Texas style. Her 100th birthday was quite an occasion with her "girls" (many of them grandmothers) came to celebrate the day. The summer camp is around the corner from the place of one of my sister's so she was able to attend the funeral. It was -- of course -- held in the camp barn. What a lovely life she led . . .
