Re: [RC] 2030 - rides2farThe danger I see is that we'll all see the GPS's version of how far we train and it will be much less than what we'd happily imagined. :-P Bill is refusing to try to figure out how to download the miles even if I do figure out how to measure them. *Sigh*. Maybe somebody at our family gathering will rise to the occasion. I'll just lay it out in the line of new gadgets all the guys are figuring out and maybe they'll do it for me. While the distance categories don't have to be sanctioned by anyone, they do have to follow the rules (i.e. if you're going to do a 100 some where/ time that does not coincide with a sanctioned event (AERC/AERA/ ARGNational/CEN/CEI/...etc.etc) then you will need to have the reputation such that everyone will believe you did it! I could easily draw a 100 mile trail - I did for Tevis forexample, but would ANY of you ever believe I went out and did the whole thing alone in Dec/Jan??? I don't think so ... jt (re reading glasses. that's the reason I gave Rusty the Garmin 305 and kept the 201 - I can read the 201 ...) Could be 7's chance to catch up with Booger. :-) Darn, this would mean I'd have to try to figure out how to usethatGPS I got *last* Christmas. Once I saw I couldn't read it withoutreadingglasses I never touched it again.
