A further FAQ concerning the VV ride (see previous email too):

a - It is also possible to draw your trail on google earth. I have  
found that it's mostly possible to do this to reasonable accuracy.   
So those who which to hand draw their trail in google earth and send  
me the .kmz file, then you will be able to enter the special  
"handDrawn" division. You will get completion miles only for these of  
course:)

b - GPS mile (uploaded to motionbase.com) will be in the  
"GotProofStupid = GPS" division.  This division support time as well  
as distance only - placements MAY be given for comparable track  
segments.

c - Elevation will play a role in figuring out points for a given GPS  
ride.

d - all rules compliance, truth in reporting, and data preparation  
(as well has equine husbandry)  are the responsibility entrant. Ride  
Management will only provide the amenities, records retention, and  
space to express your opinions:)
