[RC] pony-sized endurance saddle search - shermanDo you currently have any saddle that fits both your daughter and Benny? You don't need an endurance saddle if the saddle you already have fits well. The first saddle I bought for my kids for our 13.1H, wide POA, was an Abetta trail saddle with a 13 or 14" seat. A few years later, that saddle also fit my daughter's endurance horse and she did many miles of conditioning with it until she grew out of it. I know a few riders who have removed the horn from their nice fitting saddles to make them more appropriate for endurance, rather than search for a new saddle. Kathy My daughter brought tears to her mother's eyes by requesting "a saddle for Benny" for Christmas. Benny is our large, 1/2 Welsh, 1/4 Arab, 1/4 paint pony. Anyone out there have suggestions for a saddle that would fit a tiny 9 year old and a large, flat-but-long-backed pony? One that would be good for LD riding? I'm unfamiliar with pony saddles of any kind. My horse saddles overwhelm his body, even the Freeform looks pretty silly (though I ride him in it anyway). Thank you for any timely suggestions.
