I can tell you though that I have ridden that canyon for MANY years, and I would not take a horse across this time of year. The water is not that much lower this year even with the lack of rain. It is cold, and one misstep and you are "in the drink"..One infamous "vegetable" lost a horse downstream once trying it. There are just too many nice dry trails this year to chance it in my book.
