Re: [RC] [RC] Barbaro - Truman PrevattI think it is unclear what really happened, but there is ample evidence that this was just one of those freak accidents, where he got clipped by another horse's hoof or even stepped on. A horse's hoof with a steel shoe traveling at the speed and force it would have coming out of a starting gate carries sufficient energy to break a concrete block. The pastern of any horse's leg would not stand up to such an assault.Barbaro, fought a great fight till the end. May he rest in peace.
