RE: [RC] AHA Competition card - Jannelle Wilde & Adam Falk

My hubbie's main endurance horse has been in the legion of honor program for
two years and is 2/3 of the way to that.  She won the Region championship
last year and that gave her 14 points right there.  There are 2 points per
completion and more points when you finish in the top ten.  It costs
$30/year and a $35 sign up fee.  I think it's a pretty cool program to honor
the horses' successes.  No, it has nothing to do with the breeder.

You should check with Eric and see if they are charging extra to participate
in the "four state/jacket" program. And I believe you get something for
competing in just 2 state or 3 states, too.

The competition card allows the holder to cross enter (for additional

fee) an AHA distance event (that is for us non show >>folks).  That is
what Eric was talking about, Joni needs one more state for her award this
year with Cash.

OK, so lets say I'm just doing miles on a registered, non-sweepstakes
horse. If I pay to get a competition card I can then pay *another* $25
extra at four rides and *maybe* I get a jacket saying I rode in 4 states?

Tell me about the "legion of honor" etc. What would it take for a distance
horse to earn that and why would it matter if I'm not his breeder, etc.
