RE: [RC] AHA Competition card - Kristen A FisherThe competition card enables you to participate in AHA recognized events. Eg, all show participants must have one. If a local ride is AHA sanctioned and you want to get sweepstakes points for participation, you need a comp card too. But you also need a sweeps horse and to have paid the $100 sweeps points program fee. Regional rides enable participation in sweeps $ without being in the points program but there usually is a x-entry fee [$25 here in R9]. You can get it at any time so I'd wait and see if you need it first. What's the plus of that? I know Eric was pushing their new program where you got a jacket for competing in 4 states...would the competition card make me eligible for that? Is there any sort of duel entry fee at the rides for this stuff? (If so I'm not interested) Looks like if all goes well I'll be riding a registered horse in some rides so I'm checking my options.
