Yep  , that's always been the description in my neck of the woods , here in 
Montana anyway . The first time I registered an arab foal I could not 
believe that my bright red sorrel filly was to be registered as a chestnut ? 
I had never heard of that before but than I grew up on QH's . I found it 
very interesting .
