Re: [RC] re: rule change proposal and other topics - Beth WalkerHi Cindy. I clipped your post and just paraphrased, for fear it would be bounced because of length. Anyway:-- Normally, the person who conducts the ride meeting is the RM and/ or the vet. It is up to the RM who conducts those meetings. The same would hold true of a novice rider meeting. As for having issues with the horsemanship of the RM: I don't know the answer to that one. My personal opinion would be to not attend rides put on by that RM. -- As for "problem riders" not being just newbie riders. Sure. No argument there. However, (since I'm the one that started this proposal), I wanted to start small. I don't expect this proposal to fix the whole problem, or even the majority of the problem. But it is hopefully a starting point. -- Regarding comments made to you or other newbies about "you can go faster", "you shouldn't quit", etc. It is a good point. It is inconsistent at best, given the comments about doing away with LD because they "race too fast"... =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
