Re: [RC] Throwing Stones/Horse Abuse - sandydsaOne thought here re a very good post, someimes things DO just happen. We were told, when our stallion was hit by a nearly fatal case of endocarditis at I THINK about 14 years old - he is 22 now - that he could "drop dead standing in hsi stall" so we may as well ride him. This, of course, after a long and painful course of chemo level antibiotics. So....we started to fit him up, and added time to EACH stage of rehab for him and within abotu a year, we were surprised - shocked, really, to realize he was gaining fitness. He went on at 16-18 years old to do more LD and also to re-enter the show ring at B level and sweep up multiple season high points, season Championships, in multiple disciplines with a JUNIOR rider - and now, is 25 mile fit. So yes, things CAN just HAPPEN standing in a field - or stall - and at the same time, when clear information is available to tell a person thata horse is being abused in any way, that becomes an entirel dofferent story.s if you're not living on the edge, you're taking up too much space -----Original Message----- From: frank solano <fradasol@xxxxxxxxx> To: ridecamp@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Thu, 8 Nov 2007 6:37 am Subject: [RC] Throwing Stones/Horse Abuse ________________________________________________________________________ Email and AIM finally together.
