[RC] lost horse at Skymont - rides2far@xxxxxxxxJust an update on the lost horse. One of my students went to the ride with us and he just now mentioned to me that he'd heard the horse go by during the night (he was in a tent). I asked if it was walking or trotting and he said "trotting". He also said it was headed towards the finish line (which is farther into the Boyscout camp) so I thought that sounded good...not likely a thief would go that way or be trotting a horse making noise on a dirt road. I wrote June Jordan this morning for an update. Here's her reply. She gave me permission to pass it on and said she'll keep us informed of any developments: ********************** No, we haven't heard anything else. Larry finally left yesterday afternoon. The lady was going to stay in camp last night. She said she had enough propane for one more night of heat in her trailer. Buford told her she could stay in the lodge as long as she would like to - to wait and see if the horse turned up somewhere so I think she plans on doing that. Larry told Buford to call him and let him know if the horse turned up. With a bright purple blanket on she should be easy to spot. All neighbors and sheriffs depts have been notified. Buford says most around in the immediate area are pretty decent people so hopefully she will be found and turned in.
