When I lived in Lake Tahoe and rode in the Carson Valley in the winter, it 
was warmer than where you are, but still very cold..like 30 degrees some 
days. I rode in my spring skiing gloves..toasty! Spring gloves are less 
bulky, and not as thick as regular ski gloves, and can be found in any ski 
shop or online.
