Re: [RC] Ground Control Horseshoes - K HanesI have used these shoes on the front only for a couple years now. I rode for the first few years barefoot, once I started competing more and was dealing with varied terrain my endurance farrier showed me Ground Control. My mare has done great with them. We change them out every 6-8 weeks depending on how much I've been riding. They say they can be reset but I always have fresh put on. They didn't seem to make much difference in the way she traveled, just more surefooted on pavement.Check out their website www.plastichorseshoes.com. They were designed by a woman in Texas who grew up not far from me here in Fremont, Michigan. The company is more than happy to help out farriers who have no experience with them or hook you up with someone in your area who is familiar with their product. If you are in Michigan or near the southern border of Michigan I can give you my endurance farriers info.
