My sentiment exactly. HS: It is downright eerie when we euthanize a horse here, how all of the close relatives in the upper mare pasture will rush to the fence to have a "funeral" while the less related ones seem to be relatively unaffected. ***Not eerie at all. But how much of the difference is "hard-wired" into the brain to begin with, and then enhanced by "soul" level reactions? ***There are 2 kinds of people in this world: Conscious Creationists and epiphenomenalists. The first kind, me included, believe that consciousness creates genes, not the other way around. "Bible" on this subject is "The Self-Aware Universe: How Consciousness Creates the Physical World" by physics prof, parapsychologist, and Vedic scholar Amit Goswami, PhD. The latter kind believe that consciousness/thinking is a product (epiphenomenon) of the physical brain. There is no soul or higher power.
