Re: [RC] [RC] great saddle hunt: narrow twist seat on wide tree - Cordell RogersGlenda, I love my McCall saddle - it is a narrow twist seat with a wide tree. I have the 'modified QH bars' and it is a great fit on my horse. The only thing I changed was the rigging to move the cinch back some. Here's a link: http://www.dryforksaddle.com/LaydyWade.htm Mine is smooth leather, which is great for endurance, but slippery for speed events. Most ropers and trail riders order rough-out leather. They also make an 'endurance saddle' called the mile maker: http://www.dryforksaddle.com/Mile%20Maker.htm Cordell At 06:21 AM 10/12/2007 Friday, you wrote: So here's my question to all of you: I personally require a very narrow twist seat, but April needs a wide tree, and I like having a pommel. Past experience tells me this combo is very hard to find, and I don't want to go treeless. ____________________________________________________________________________________ Be a better Globetrotter.
