I was riding with a young Dutch friend just back from a holiday with her grandparents and she said that in Holland McDonalds sells beer floats.  I knew about the beer, which was always the only thing that would get me into a McDonalds in Europe, but with ice cream?  She said she tasted it and it was a bit odd but not bad.
