RE: [RC] Wound care on silly horse - Susan E. Garlinghouse, DVMI am thinking you need to get a vet out that can tell you for sure whether or not it can be sutured, needs antibiotics and appropriate therapy. Stifles are prime areas for proud flesh development (more so with Wonder Dust application) and I've successfully sutured lots of stifles. She said if it were a dog ,they'd stitch and put a drain in , cause you could get a pocket under the skin for infection... but I know with horses you usually can't stitch on a joint area, I have Nitrufurazone, Wonder dust, and Derma gel. I have betadine and Providine scrubs to clean with. I am thinking hose, clean 2x a day, _________________________________________________________________ Peek-a-boo FREE Tricks & Treats for You! http://www.reallivemoms.com?ocid=TXT_TAGHM&loc=us =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
