[RC] Sharon Saare and Triple T - Sharon SaareTo clear up the questions....yes...I started my Sharon Saare Saddles with the original Big Horn Saddle Company...which is not related to the current Big Horn....other than that current company bought the name after Big Horn closed its doors. I started with them in 1972. No one cut off the horn to make a fork. It was a new design because at that time no horn western style saddles were not "socially acceptable". Abercrombie bought some of my A trees and started his version of my saddles called the Triple T. The primary difference was that he padded the back half of the seat, leaving the front half open like a McClellan. Mac had several errors on his original design...as we all did......and when Big Horn closed, I talked to him about us doing a joint venture. He was agreeable...in fact very enthusiastic. I showed him some corrections to make, and after that he never was "available" to do that joint venture. Thus....he missed out entirely on the tree development that I have done over the past 35 years. I have said for a long time, saddles are like a communication. The leather is the envelope, but the tree is the message. I have kept on developing the message. Several copies and attempted copies of my equipment are stuck in what I produced 25 and 30 years ago.
