What I have found in the 8+/- years I've been at this, is that they are gotten fit the same as arabs. The schedule may be different, but it's different for each arab as well.
Every horse & mule needs to be treated as an individual. All of the things learned here can apply to any breed.
I've only competed on an arab once. All the rest of my miles are on mules (not 1/2 arab) & a few miles on TBs & an app. On these animals I've won a few, some BCs, some loooong finishes & some pulls. The same can be said for many of my endurance riding buddies regardless of breed. (Some on arabs, appys, TBs, gaited, etc.)
