[RC] riding arabs, cold shoulder, getting started - TheresaDonna, Do rides in your area offer beginner or novice rides? These are rides that are between 10 and 15 miles aimed at beginning riders and/or beginning horses. They seem to really help with getting new riders to know the pace that is needed, and aren't so terribly long that it seems impossible to do. In UMECRA we run these rides as competitive rides (without the horsemanship judging) and put riders in small groups with mentors, but I believe there's places that run them like mini-LDs. Hope you can find one in your area, Theresa http://toolbar.Care2.com Make your computer carbon-neutral (free). http://www.Care2.com Green Living, Human Rights and more - 7 million members! =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
