That's interesting, I didn't know that. You can still use it in Oklahoma apparently. There is a mill about 5 miles from mom's house that coats fence posts in the stuff. I see them hauling semi loads out of there all the time.

Creosote is a great deterrent to fence chewing.  It is also banned in California as a carcinogenic substance.  So much of the good stuff, the things that really work, are banned in CA.  You can't even buy an ant poison here that will work.

There used to be a widely used chemical called Creosote that my trainer swears by. It's very difficult to find and you have to be extremely careful when using it...it will burn your skin if it's left on.
