RE: [RC] [RC] HELP - My mare is frustrating me - susan cooper--- Ranelle Rubin <raneller@xxxxxxx> wrote: Yep..Jonni..I think you are right on..She is deficient in something. Actually, I have been thinking along those lines as well, and have poured over Susan Garlinghouse's web site and read her articles. This is alfalfa country, and finding grass hay is difficult, to say the least. Ranelle, I will be calling you to find out the supplements I should be giving her to help balance her nutrition. And I think I will scrap my plans to ride her in the 30 LD the end of October, quit her conditioning rides for now, and resume easy pleasure rides, get her nutrition straight, and plan on having her ready for next year. The last thing I want to do is hurt my horse! I also seperated her from the herd to give her extra, and she is very depressed, so I will have to figure out if I can just seperate her at night to give her extra and her supplements, then let her in with the herd every morning to keep her happy, as well as healthy.
