[RC] switching from pastures to pens....advice? - Kristi SchaafSarah - I highly recommend that you get your hands on the book "Paddock Paradise" by Jaime Jackson. It was my answer to giving my horses more room to move on our small acreage, without exposing them to lush grass. The gist of a paddock paradise is that you create fenced 'tracks' around the property, and it sounds like your wooded area would be PERFECT for it. I also have three horses, and their dry lot is approximately 1/2 acre; I wish it was bigger but it does seem to be enough room for them to tear around without me worrying that they'll crash into something or each other (their run-in shed is in the center so they can run big loops around the dry lot perimeter). The paddock paradise setup we've created has added more room for them to move on our limited space, which is something I had been trying to figure out how to do for awhile. Kristi Life's a journey, so enjoy the ride (and try not to fall off) ____________________________________________________________________________________ Be a PS3 game guru.
