Re: [RC] Spiffy new look to the website! OR Broad & Shallow vs.Narrow & Deep - Laney HumphreyI'm glad you and John know what you're talking about!!! Years ago, a local public library wanted to offer internet access to patrons so a group of us volunteered to give assistance. One of the other volunteers was a web designer. Her mantra was: keep it simple. She said she was definitely a content person & believed that people want to be able to get the info they want easily. I totally agree with her. When things get cute or layered I leave because I'm visiting the site for information, not to admire code intricacies. I just want the information!Laney Linda Mirams wrote: On Sun, 21 Jan 2007 20:22:31 -0800, Laney Humphrey wroteI kinda think maybe I understood a little bit of what you said. I must say I don't enjoy browzing the new classified format nearly as much as I did the old because it's just too much work to get down to the pertinent info: size, age and then back out. But I've gotten brainwashed I guess into accepting that fancier set ups like the new version are what the web will look like. Since I only window shop, I'll just probably do less of it since it isn't as much fun any more. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
