if you can find a copy the official title is "The Year of the Horse" by Eric
Hatch. FUNNY funny funny is this book.. I loved it!!
Yes, I remember it. The horse's name was
Aspercel. In 1975, I bought a half-Arab, registered name Aspercel.
Since the name was cumbersome, I renamed him Casper. He probably had
more heart than any other horse I've ridden, but he was hard-mouthed and
difficult to rate. Still, all in all, a good 100-miler was
Casper.
