RE: [RC] [RC] re: bucking the owner - Kat - Ranelle RubinAlexis, the bottom line is you do want a good relationship with the person who provides your horse with the basic care..food, shelter, water, etc. If you don't have that, you will find it difficult to address issues that inevitably come up.Sometimes we have to make sacrifices that ultimately turn out to be in the best interest for our horses. I remember my first boss when I was 18. He said, "I may not always be right, but I am always the boss."...Kat is right in that the property owner has the right, and likely the leverage with a commodity that is desirable (she doesn't have to accept EVERY boarder) to "have it her way". Make the best of it, and enjoy the drive..
