Re: [RC] [RC] falling off the horse-long - which . chick

I don't mind the sideways teleport spooks (I have long legs and a very
short top, center of gravity for me is about three inches below my
bellybutton) but the 180s can sometimes get me. She has dumped me
several times, mostly over cars (her big issue), in a 180/buck/bolt
sequence, though only once this year. I broke her to ride myself and
I keep getting back on after the spills because she's got enough good
points to make me want to work on the car issue until we've got it
licked.

On an only slightly-related note, we (yesterday) finished our first
official out-in-public ride, 28.7 miles at the state 4-H CTR in 80
degree heat with buckets of humidity. (Weird for PA in late Sept. and
about 20% of the starters didn't finish.) We got first adult hwt and
high point adult rider. I know it's only a 4-H CTR but I was still
pretty happy. I think maybe I'd like to try a real ride next year.
