I googled "suicide horse race" and came up with pages of stoires...more than just from the HSUS.  It gets worse; horses have to compete in heats before the actual events.  They die there too!  I've e-mailed the ProRodeo association to get confirmation they really sponsor such an event.

 

Why isn't this illegal?
