Did that horse get proper hoof, worming and shots? Was it neglected?" Karen , My current horse Eagle was bred by a wealthy Dr. down south , right after he was born the Dr. passed away and Eagle and the rest of the Doctor's horse's were caught up in an estate battle between current wife and the ex-wife .He ran as a stallion with the band of other horse's the Dr. owned on a pecan ranch I think they said , mare's , foal's and stallon's until he was 5 or 6 years old when the estate was than settled and than the Burton's from OK picked him up as a prospect from whom I bought him from . Strange circumstance's for sure but I have bought older horses for our dude string that were in the same type of situations and alot that were halter broke only and just pasture ornaments that the owners just got tired of feeding .
