Re: [RC] Everything you ever wanted to know about CHIGGERS - Keith KiblerThanks for the Chigger/chiggar information. However, even if it is true that the pesky no see ums dont borrow under your skin, I can give first hand testimony that amonia or bleach does work. Disclaimer (this is for informational purposes only, do not try this at home and seek immediate professional medical help if you even think of doing this) That out of the way, I wipe down with bleach while in the shower. If I somehow dont get this done and get chiggars, I use a rag with bleach or amonia on it until I have rubbed hard enough that it really stings. This happens for a second and then the itch is almost always complety gone. So why does this work if the chiggar is not under my skin? Perhaps it is completely drying out the feeding tube thing that your article says is the source of the itch in the first place. Here is a supposed scientific link to suggest that amonia works: http://www.informaworld.com/smpp/content~content=a713784060~db=all my 2 cents Keith =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
