Sandy has it right.  I love off track horses and have owned thoroughbreds,
quarter horses and now a standardbred.  However, there are so many why
bother with one that has anything questionable about it?

While I am sure there are exceptions, the ones I've owned have  been there
done that in terms of ground manners, loading, hauling, training.  Of
course, the ones that are doubtful, you just don't purchase.
