Hi D'Arcy,

I am sure that Dr Nik means to be encouraging.  In many of his previous 
posts he has pointed out that the USA should have an excellent chance at 
the Gold in Malaysia since the climate and terrain will NOT be the nice, 
sandy racetrack of the desert.

When you read his posts, or Leonard's, or those of anyone else for whom 
English is a second language, you need to take a few mental steps back 
to try to catch the "flavor" of the whole post.  When you use a language 
not your own, subtleties can turn into sledge hammers :)

If you took French back in high school, you might try to re-write your 
last post in French and see how it comes out <bg>.  I know that even 
WITH an English/French dictionary I would not be able to convey nuances 
very well.
