Mine have been eating teff for the past 2 months.... they love it now, although they just picked at it for a week or so (till they quit hoping for 3-grain or alfalfa/orchard mix).  From what I've heard & read it's nutritionally very similar to timothy, which is great for horses.  I get mine from a guy in Vacaville (I'm near Sacramento).

Thanks...we just ordered 180 or so bales..all the guy has...I have never fed it until this "sample bale" I have..and wanted to know what others out there thought of it. It will be my 50% forage hay for the year..:) My horses seem to really like it..but then, kids like candy and soda pop too!
