Re: [RC] [European Endurance Championship] Moving Fast and Running Tight - Steph Teeterall the horses are wearing collars with an RFID chip - automatically sensed as they enter and leave (a sensor cable is buried in the sand at the arrival/departure gates). Timing is automatic and accurate. There's a similar cable at the pulse gate. Can't get more accurate... They're using handheld heartrate monitors at the vet gate. The pulse is flashed on a monitor at the end of the trotting lane for all to see. Very interesting to watch the pulses go up/down or down/down ... pretty revealing I suppose.Steph On Sep 8, 2007, at 3:24 PM, Dolores Arste wrote: Anyone know what the blue thing around the neck of #5 is? =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
