[RC] clicky hocks - a.hoins

Hi all,

I have a five year old quarter horse cross who I started
last fall under saddle with a goal of doing his first ride in the spring. My long term goal is 50's and if we both are up for it, 100's. Been doing light conditioning with him, and have been hearing clicking coming from his hocks or stifles on both sides. Notice it when he circles at a walk as we are doing ground work. I am considering putting him on a glucosamine/chondroitin supplement if in fact there is an issue. Does anyone know a good web-site that delves into issues of the hind leg of a horse, and in particular, the hock and stifle? I waited until he was four to start him so his body was well on it's way to maturing.

Thanks for any input,
Ann and Smokey
