Re: [RC] Clinicians some good , some suck. - CKI am reasonably intelliegent (JMHO), educated and have been riding 52 yrs.. I have gone to many clinics and taken many lessons. I have also been launched , kicked and stepped on. Gone to three NH type clinics ,with colts to start under saddle . Two clinicians were great.** The other had the GOD complex and his groupie followers. He was super arrogant to me when I asked him questions. Had his little mystical aura and his NH cowboy gear. Always sat his horse and talked down to us when we were standing. Would repeat my questions and then be very sarcastic, I thought.. He left me alone in a round pen on a 16 hd., adopted wild MUSTANG while he showed the groupies how a colt would lie down under saddle to roll in the bigger pen. I was 58 yrs. old ,at the time, with fibromyelgia and arthritis. Did not appreciate his manner. I did give him written feedback. That is no way to teach adults ( or any one else) who paid about $500 for a clinic. Some participants did come up and tell me I was doing very well with my MUstang and also gave sympathy for the was Mr. Too Cool was acting. ***I highly recommend ED Dabney and Brad Cameron. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
