You don't need an ill designed orange stick that will give virtually anybody who holds it by the handle tendonitis to extend your arm to work with a horse, if you are any good at all, your arm should be totally sufficient. If the guy had employees instead of independent contractors and people who pay for the privalege of using his equipment, that thing would be an OSHA violation...note the lack of smiley face here, no joke. Can you say "tennis elbow?" This cracked me up. Years ago a guy came to a clinic at my house and when it came time to leave he couldn't load his horse. I offered to help and he gave me a carrot stick. I tapped the horse a couple of times with it and I thought my arm would fall off. The horse loaded nicely with a little encouragement and good timing with a dressage whip used as an extension of the arm.
