Re: [RC] [RC] And you want to know why (was: Parelli, horse sense, etc.) - Debbie K.This quote is one of those that you have to really know what it is he is talking about to start out with, then do the opposite, one is that most people use a flat halter that allows a horse to pull against it and you, he does the opposite and uses a rope halter, another is most people use a short lead rope and hold a horse close, he uses a 12' lead and has the horse further away from him, there are MANY other things that he watched professionals and Greenhorns do and came up with a statement, Pat just thinks differently then most people, he is creative... Many people used a whip, he uses a stiff stick, an extension of his arm... He gives so much credit to his "TEACHERS" he was a good student and with the help of Linda has been able to put what he knows in a box so others can get it... I personally would rather follow him, then some of the crazy Arabian, Morgan, and Saddlebred "trainers" I have seen "train" horses all of my life.... The problem is, they are still training horses to give to the bit or stretch by Tying there heads to their tails... with a bit in their mouth!!!! Those are the people we should be Talking about, and saying SHAME ON YOU.. There are MUCH better ways...
